The two Sundays I work in May are Mother's Day and Memorial Day weekend. My husband (who generously mans the cash register so I can knit) will be at a family Mother's Day gathering with his 87 year-old mom. He will also be celebrating Memorial Day (lucky dog) at an annual BBQ. So, unfortunately, Knit Salon is cancelled for May.

The Whistlestop, which is a stone's throw away from The Grove, has its Sip n' Knits on Sunday, May 3rd and 17 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM. All are made welcome in this knitter-friendly atmosphere. So seat yourself by the open windows and grab yourself a beer or a coke and enjoy the company of fellow knitters.

For those who prefer a coffee house atmosphere to that of a pub, meet your knitting friends at Rebecca's (directly across from The Grove) and enjoy one of her famous scones and a good cup of coffee. Several knitting circles meet there throughout the month so you will feel right at home.
