Stash Swap

For those who are interested, giftwrap an item from your stash and put it in the basket when you arrive, draw a number, and then redeem your number when you leave. Make sure to bring something you wouldn't mind receiving (or getting back).

History

April 11, 2007 is the day that Casey Forbes uploaded Ravelry.com, an online community for knitters and crocheters which connects them worldwide through the powerful cross-referencing of yarns, patterns, projects, and groups in a massive inter-relational database. His wife Jess Marshall Forbes is a knitter whose blogging activities inspired Casey to tap into a way to unite yarn crafters around the world, and to expand their resources while also supporting local yarn shops and handspinners.

The "Bob" in Bobmas refers to the oddly photogenic Boston Terrier dog who lives and eats with Jess and Casey, and whose photographs decorate unexpected places on the website.

All Welcome

For those of you who are already members of Ravelry.com, join our very own Ravelry Group: The Grove San Diego. On the discussion board, you can lurk the latest news on what Bobmas traditions we'd like to establish for this special occasion.

You don't need to be a member of Ravelry to enjoy this event -- we welcome all yarnoholics, friends, spouses, kids, and Ravelry-wannabes on the waiting list, too.
