Skill Level: Experienced

This is a six-session class where we will be designing our own sweaters using swatches for gauges and an existing garment for measurements.

1. 3 March: 11 - 3 PM Design
2. 10 March: 11 - 3 PM Design
3. 31 March: 11 - 1 PM Check in Back finished
4. 21 April: 11 - 1 PM Check in Front finished
5. 12 May: 11 - 3 PM Check in Sleeves finished/finishing elements firmed up (collars, bands etc.)
6. 2 June : 11 - 3 PM Finishing

We will design the sweater and then set to make it.

You should have ready a swatch/es, framed, blocked and gauged out to the nearest hundredth of a stitch per inch. There should be a swatch for every stitch element used. For example if you are going to do a stockinette stitch sweater with 2x2 ribbing, you have two swatches: one of the body and one for the ribbing.

• Garment from which to measure
• Reference material (pictures, patterns)
• Yarn of your choice
• Needles compatible with yarn choice
• Paper
• Pens/pencils
• Calculator
• Measuring tape
• Darning needle
• Stitch markers, etc, basically anything that you need to make your sweater
