We'll introduce you to the anatomy of a pattern, provide you with important online resources to understand abbreviations, and show you how to decipher patterns including charts!

Don't not knit what you want to knit because you're intimidated by patterns. We'll help you get over that!

This is a class for students who know how to knit and purl but are too intimidated to take on a pattern.

Dave will help you decipher the abbreviations and provide you with other pattern-reading skills. There will be nothing stopping you from knitting garments after taking this class.

Materials

• light-colored, worsted weight yarn (10% discount on yarn for class)
• size #7, #8 or #9 needles (available at The Grove)
• scissors or yarn cutter
• calculator
• tape measure
• paper
• pencil
