Men's Basic Knitting Class

We feel it is time to have a beginning knitting class for men. This is not to say that men learn differently or need less hand-holding...or more. But we want to offer a chance for the guys to get together to learn how to knit for the first time or to brush up and improve on what is already there.

Dave will be going through:

• casting on,
• knitting,
• purling,
• binding off,
• increasing,
• decreasing,
• reading patterns, and
• simple stitch patterns.

He will also go over stitch anatomy and offer tips to making your knitting a successful experience.

Materials

• light-colored, worsted weight yarn (10% discount on yarn for class)
• size #7, #8 or #9 needles (available at The Grove)
• scissors or yarn cutter
• calculator
• tape measure
• paper
• pencil

The fees listed above cover instruction only. 10% discount applies to all yarns purchased for class on the day of class.
