Cabled Purse Class

Skill Level: Intermediate

No need to yearn for winter cables anymore. Combine gorgeous Butterfly cotton yarn and a double twist cable pattern to make a pretty knitted clutch that will take you all the way through the summer heat.

Part 1: Learn a new cast-on and how to use a cable needle to create left and right twist cables

Part 2: Return to finish knitting, sew a lining, apply the clasp and add crucial finishing touches. Carry it home!

Part 1 Materials

1. 2 skeins Mouzakis Butterfly yarn (10% discount on yarn for class)
2. US size #6/4mm straight needles (13" recommended) (available at The Grove)
3. row counter (available at The Grove)
4. cable needle (available at The Grove)
5. pen/pencil & paper
6. tapestry needle
7. tape measure

Part 2 Materials:

1. 1/2 yard fabric for lining (available through The Spirit of the Cloth at The Grove)
2. hand sewing needle
3. sewing thread to match lining (available at The Grove)
4. button or fastener for clasp (available at The Grove)
5. straight pins
6. fabric scissors/shears
