Cast-on and create a darling wallet, adding whimsical touches as you knit.

A Turkish cast-on will be taught as well as how to use two circular needles to create a seamless piece. Many different options for adding whimsy to your piece will be taught including bobbles, two-color knitting and a picot cast off.

Using the felting properties of natural fibers you will wash your finished knitting in your home washing machine and create a durable felted wallet.

The only prerequisite is knowing how to knit! Since this piece is created in the round, you will only use knit stitch and a simple increase.

Materials

• 1 skein feltable wool (Be sure your wool is not labeled "Super Wash" as this will not felt. The Grove staff will be able to assist you if you are unsure about your yarn's feltability.)
• small amounts of a complementary color if 2-color knitting is desired
• small amounts of novelty yarns to incorporate with your wool (There are many many wonderful choices; try to get something not too bulky, but most anything can be carried along with your felting yarn and will create a nice decorative touch to your finished piece.)
• 2 size 10.5 circular needles 16 to 20 inches long
• large snap or magnetic snap closure (if desired)
