Skill Level: Easy (basic machine sewing skills required)

This spectacular shoulder bag is made by arranging and sewing fibers on soluble fabric.

In Class I, learn to arrange and sew the strap and side panels. Leave with instructions on how to dissolve the fabric backing at home.

In Class II, return with your pieces ready to assemble. Construct and attach the lining, then add the closure of your choice.

You must bring a portable sewing machine and know basic sewing skills.

Materials in $40 Kit

• yarns and fibers
• water soluble fabric
• matching thread
• lining fabric

Materials to Bring to Class

• portable sewing machine
• long straight pins preferably with beaded heads
• scissors and thread snips
• button or other closure (available at The Grove)
