Beginning Crochet Dishcloths Class

If you've never picked up a hook before, or think that crocheting means making a really really long chain, then this class is for you!

In this 2-part class you'll learn the basic stitches of crochet AND make a set of 3 dishcloths perfect for gift giving.

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• hdc = half-double crochet
• dc = double crochet

Part 1

Focus on hook size, yarn selection and basic crochet stitches. We'll begin a sampler dishcloth using the stitches learned.

Session 2

More stitches, review, plus finishing & edging techniques.

Materials

1. 3 skeins Blue Sky Skinny Dyed Cotton yarn (10% discount on yarn for class)
2. crochet hook size G/6/4.25 mm (available at The Grove)
3. scissors or yarn cutter
4. yarn/tapestry needle
5. stitch gauge or tape measure
6. safety pin or plastic safety pin type stitch marker
