If you've never picked up a hook before, or think that crocheting means making a really really long chain, then this class is for you!
In this two part class you'll learn the basics stitches of crochet: single, double and triple (treble) stitches, and finishing and edging techniques. The class project is a sampler dishcloth (or two) and you will also receive a free scarf pattern at the end of class that will allow you to keep working on your new-found skills.
Focus for Session #1 will be on hook size, yarn selection and basic crochet stitches. We'll begin a sampler dishcloth using the stitches learned.

Gift idea: Make a stack of crocheted washcloths from Blue Sky Organic Cotton and wrap around a bar of homemade soap. Tie with a yarn "ribbon."
Session #2 will be a review of our stitches, finishing/edging, and (time permitting) joining techniques.
The fees listed above cover instruction only. 10% discount applies to all yarns purchased for class on the day of class.
Preregistration and advanced payment are required for all classes. Signing up is easy; just call 619.284.7684 or visit The Grove.
