On Sunday, October 22nd, 2006, from 11 am to 6 pm, drop by The Grove at Juniper and 30th to knit pink scarves or a panel for one of Judy Thacker's awesome free-form throws. All pieces will be donated to the Susan G. Koman Foundation and sold at a fund-raiser auction with all proceeds going towards breast cancer research and education. Each garment you work on will bear your name and you can dedicate it to anyone you know who has been touched by breast cancer. All pink yarns will be offered at a 20% discount.

100% of all sales will go to the San Diego Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. 75% of proceeds stay in San Diego for Education, Screening, Support and Treatment Programs. 25% supports the Komen Foundation Award and Research Grant Program.

Handouts on breast health and early detection of breast cancer will be available.
