On Sunday, October 30, 2005, from 11 am to 6 pm, The Grove at Juniper and 30th is hosting a Knit-In to raise money for breast cancer research. We'll be knitting or crocheting pink scarves on large needles to sell at the Race for the Cure in Balboa Park on November 6. Just bring along any pink yarns from your stash, or purchase our pink yarns at a 20% discount.

100% of all sales will go to the San Diego Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. 75% of proceeds stay in San Diego for Education, Screening, Support and Treatment Programs. 25% supports the Komen Foundation Award and Research Grant Program.

Handouts on breast health and early detection of breast cancer will be available.
