For those requiring Susan's personal assistance, she is scheduled to work on those
days colored in orange and marked with the yarn ball. Private Lessons: $20 per
hour for knitting or crocheting. Her hours are subject to change, however, so
it's best to call (619) 284-7684 and confirm.
Regular Events & Workshops
- Brown Bag Writing Practice Group 12 - 1 PM Every Tuesday $5
- Given prompts, practice all types of writing free from editing or critique. Contact Jill Hall at jillghall@aol.com for additional information.
- Crochet Club 12:00 noon - 2 PM 2nd and 4th Sundays 13 & 27 January 2008 $10
- Want to learn to crochet, but don't need another scarf? Come every session to build your skills, or drop in occasionally to learn a new stitch. We'll work on samplers (including granny squares) to learn a different stitch or technique at each meeting. These squares can be used to make a purse, afghan, pillow... OK, even a scarf...I won't tell. They'll even stand alone as wash or dishcloths or other small useful items. Drop in and get hooked! And the rules: Not too many. This is a drop-in class. Although a more relaxed version of instruction, please do not expect individual project assistance. I will be happy to schedule a private instruction appointment with you for your own projects! (Instructor Melody Hufford)
- Knit Salon 6:30 - 9 PM First & Third Thursdays 3 & 17 January 2008 FREE
- Drop in and join fellow knitters and crocheters for an evening of creativity in the cozy atmosphere of The Grove. No instructions offered, but yarn selection advice is available.
- Open Mic 7 - 9 PM Friday 4 January 2008
- San Diego Writer's Ink presents First Fridays Open Mic for Prose Writers, hosted by Amy Wallen. Bring 3 minutes of prose to read aloud to peers and future readers in a supportive, relaxed atmosphere. For more info, contact amylizwrites@hotmail.com
Given our travel schedule to TNNA's annual convention in Long Beach and a national gift show this January, many more classes will begin again next month, in February 2008.
