Peter Sprague Fundraising Concert Saturday November 11: 6:30 - 9:30 PM $20 donation
Jazz guitarist Peter Sprague will perform a fundraiser concert to benefit the students of the new Music Program of McKinley Elementary School in North Park. The evening is dedicated to the memory of Claude Smith, jazz drummer and painter. Wine & cheese served.
Brown Bag Writing Practice Group Every Tuesday 12 - 1 PM FREE with RSVP

Basic Pearl Necklace Sunday November 5: 1 - 5 PM $45 + $35 materials
Make a necklace of sterling silver and freshwater pearls, using basic wire wrapping techniques. Tools will be provided for use during the class. (Instructors Bea & Carol) Level: Easy (Prerequisite: basic knowledge of the use of hand tools.)
Beginner's Scarf Sundays November 5 & 12:1 - 3:30 PM OR Wednesdays November 11 & 18: 6:30-9 PM $40 for two class sessions
If you haven't learned yet, it's time! We'll teach you to cast on and knit during Part One. Part Two: return to complete your scarf and fringe it if you wish. Wear it home! (Instructor Susan Wells) Materials available for purchase: light-colored, worsted weight yarn with size 7, 8 or 9 needles. Bring a calculator, tape measure and paper & pencil. Skill Level: Beginner
Beginning Crochet Sundays November 19 & 26: 1 - 3:30pm $40 for 2 class sessions
If you've never picked up a hook before, or think that crocheting is making a really really really long chain, then this class is for you! Learn the basics -- from making a foundation chain to simple crochet stitches. We will work on a sampler washcloth in this class, and there will be a free pattern for a simple scarf for you to take home to continue to practice. Knit Hat Sunday November 26: 1-3pm $25
For beginning knitters wishing to learn to purl, decrease, and seam, this simple hat class is a must. Also learn to edge your hat with a simple crochet stitch to ensure a good fit. This one is so easy, most participants wear their hats home from class! Materials: bulky yarn, 24" circular needle OR 14" straight needles in a size compatible with yarn selection; tape measure, tapestry needle, crochet hook (size G, H, or J), scissors, paper, pen. Class Cancellation Policy
No Exceptions

In the event the Grove needs to cancel a class due to lack of participants, the Grove will issue a full refund. Participants who are unable to attend as planned must notify the Grove within five days of the class in order to receive a refund. Otherwise the class fee is forfeited. Fees cannot be applied to future classes.
