OLD HOUSE FAIR: Saturday, June 17, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Always a fun day in the neighborhood, this annual event features local craftsman home tours and a street fair with treats from local restaurants, samples of merchandise from local retailers, and vendor displays from service & products providers for craftsman-type homes. The Grove will have two tables to display our books and yarns, so be sure to stop by and say hello! JUNE CLASSES & WORKSHOPS: Materials provided only where indicated. BROWN BAG WRITING PRACTICE GROUP: Every Tuesday, 12:00-1:00 p.m. Fee: $5. Given prompts, practice all types of writing free from editing or critique. Contact Jill Hall at jillghall@aol.com for additional information. KNIT SALON: First & Third Thursdays, June 1 & 15; 6:30-9:00 pm. Free. Drop in anytime and join fellow knitters for an evening of creativity in the cozy atmosphere of the Grove. No instructions offered but yarn selection advice is available. FELTED NEEDLE VASE WITH POM POMS: Saturdays, June 3 & 10, 11-2pm. Fee: $40. Knit this incredibly whimsical yet practical knitting needle vase. Seamlessly knitted in the round. Felting instructions provided for completing the project at home. For advanced beginners. The project photographed was knit in worsted weight Lamb's Pride (doubled) and Solstice with size 13 double-pointed needles & 16" circulars. Pattern is only available for those participating in class. A SIMPLE BABY HAT: Sunday, June 11, 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Fee: $25. Learn to knit an adorable umbilical cord baby hat in one class. For advanced beginners who know how to knit and purl. Bring size #9 needles and compatible yarn or make your selections here – we have plenty of yarns to select from as well as needles. TWO-HANDED FAIR ISLE KNITTING: Sunday, June 11-4pm. Fee: $40. Dave Kraft will teach you how to knit with two different colors in one row using both hands. For intermediate beginners who know how to knit in both the Continental and English methods. Bring light colored worsted weight yarn with one contrasting color & compatible needle size. KNIT SCARF CLASSES: Sundays, June 17 & 24, 1:00-3:30 p.m. Fee: $40. This is the class to take if you've never held a knitting needle in your life! Learn to cast on and knit during Part One. Part Two: return to complete your scarf and fringe it if you wish. Needle and yarn selection is part of the class. FABULOUS THROW CLASS: Sunday, June 25. 11:00a.m.-1:00 p.m. Fee: $25. Judy Thacker teaches how to combine colors and textures to make that awesome throw you've been admiring in the shop. Any beginner can make this elegant piece knitted in four panels on large needles and crocheted together with a simple single crochet stitch. CLASS CANCELLATION

due to lack of participants,
the Grove will issue
a full refund. Participants
who are unable to
attend as planned,
must notify the
Grove within five
days of the class
in order to receive
a refund. Otherwise
the class fee is
forfeited. Fees
cannot be applied
