Brown Bag Writing Practice Group:  Every Tuesday, 12:00-1:00 p.m.  Fee: $5.  Given prompts, practice all types of writing free from editing or critique. Just drop in prepared to write. WILD WOMEN WORKSHOP:  Sunday, March 5; 4:00-5:30 p.m.  Readings from Wild Women Writing, a chapbook collection of work by women who participated in a ten-week writing workshop last fall. The reading includes Open Mic: An open invitation for all self-described Wild Women to read up to three minutes of prose of poetry. Hosted by Judy Reeves.

 

GRANNY SQUARE SCARF: Wednesdays, March 8th & 15th; 6:30 – 8:30pm. Fee $40. Create a granny square scarf In this two part class crochet class taught by Melody Hufford. Sample on display on store.

SOCK CLASS:  Sunday, March 12, 11:00a.m.-4:00p.m.  Fee:  $25.  Dave Kraft will teach sock-making techniques, including an elastic cast-on and short rows.  Learn to make socks right from the very start!

 

BUTTON NOSE PANSY:  Sunday, March 12; 1-4:00 p.m.  Fee:  $24.  Materials:  $20.  Make a pansy from hand-dyed silk ribbon, add a beaded edge, and fasten a unique button at its center.  Good class if you want a one-day project.  See www.christenbrown.com  for photos!

 

KNIT SCARF CLASS:  Saturdays, March 11 & 18, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p. m. or  Wednesdays, March 15th & 22th, 6:30-9:00 p.m. Fee:  $40.   It’s not too late to fulfill one of your new year’s goals…to learn to knit!  Do it!  Tap into your creativity by learning to cast on and knit during Part One.  Part Two: return to complete your scarf and fringe it if you wish.  Sign up now!

LINEN FINGERLESS GLOVES:  Saturday, March 25, 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.  Fee:  $25.  Welcome Spring with open arms starting with these fingerless gloves made from Maggi’s Irish linen yarn.  Must know how to knit and purl.  See store sample.

PETALS & POSIES I:  Sunday, March 26; 11:00a.m.-4:30p.m.  Fee:  $40.  Materials:  $17.50.  Learn to hand-stitch Spring flowers from French wire, dyed silk bias, and metallic ribbons.  See photos at www.christenbrown.com.

WIREWRAPPING CLASS:  Sunday, March 26; 1-4:00 p.m.  1-4:00 p.m.  Fee:  $45.  Materials: $20. Learn at the hands of the pros to make a spiral bracelet by  wire wrapping.  Sample available at the Grove.  Tools provided for use in class.

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:   In the event the Grove needs to cancel a class due to lack of participants, the Grove will issue a full refund. Participants who are unable to attend as planned, must notify the Grove within five days of the class in order to receive a refund. Otherwise the class fee is forfeited. Fees cannot be applied to future classes.
